Our staff wear many hats, and for some, that even includes a Firefighter’s hat!🧑🚒
Did you know that Sunset Ridge Elementary School Physical Education Teacher Tara Franklin has served as a Middleton Firefighter for the past 25 years?
Not only does she help keep our community safe, but she also educates students beyond the classroom! During Fire Prevention Week earlier this month, she and the Middleton Fire District team visited elementary schools in the area to help students understand the importance of fire safety.
Together, they covered essential topics, such as what to do in case of an emergency and how to identify potential fire hazards, using puppets, miniature model homes, and more.
Thank you, Ms. Franklin, for helping our students learn how to stay safe both at home and at school!

🪅Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration | Sauk Trail Elementary School 🪅
Our Sauk Trail students welcomed a new friend to school today!
Thank you to talented Paraguayan and Guaraní Musician Jorge Mendoza for taking the time to visit all of the classes and share his music!
What makes his visit even more special is that he played tunes in his two native languages, Spanish and Guaraní. Guaraní is an indigenous language from Paraguay.
Students learned many fun songs, but the star of the show was singing their school song, "On Sauk Trail" in Spanish! "
Thank you to Principal Dahlk, Maestra Samira, Jorge Mendoza and to the PTO for making this event possible!
