MCPASD Registration
Welcome! The Registrar's Office is responsible for registering students. All new students (4-year-old through grade 12) register with the District through this office.
MCPASD has set up an online tool for families to schedule times to register. The Registration Calendar allows you to schedule a 30-minute appointment. Slots are usually available from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays.
During the school year, the registrar's office is typically open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hours are limited in the summer. You may contact the Registrar's Office at 608-829-9031 or email reg@mcpasd.k12.wi.us

What is needed to register:
A parent or guardian is required to provide to the Registrar's Office the following information:
1. Proof of Residency (one of the following):
Lease Agreement: name, address, effective date and all parties signatures
Accepted Current Purchase Agreement: name, address, occupancy or closing date and all signatures; additional proof is required once you have occupied the residence
Building Contract and Building Permit: name, address, projected completion date and all signatures on contract; additional proof is required once you have occupied the residence
Current Utility Bill: natural gas; electric or city/village water only. Name, address, date of statement and current service address. We do not accept insurance, telephone, cable bills or closing statements as proof of residency
2. Proof of student's age (one of the following):

3. Immunization record (or may be provided directly to the school when available)

Who is Eligible to attend
In accordance with the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District's Admission Policy, any child who physically resides in the District for a purpose other than school attendance may be considered a resident student and may be eligible for tuition-free admission to the District's schools.
Students will be assigned to the attendance school, based on address and the attendance boundaries defined by the district. However, the district reserves the right to assign students outside the attendance boundary based on enrollment, class size or program needs if necessary.
Please allow up to 48 hours after all documents are submitted for processing. It may take up to two (2) days before your child may attend school.
9th Grade Letter To Families
We are excited to welcome the Freshman class for the 2025-2026 school year. A letter to our incoming 9th-grade families will be available soon.
4K Registration
In addition to the proof of residency and proof of age (see #1 and #2 above) you will need to download the enrollment packet for your desired school year.
The packets are also available on the 4K website. The 4K Packet includes all documents required for 4K enrollment only.
2024-25 4K Registration is now open
Open Enrollment | 2025-2026 School Year
The open enrollment window for the 2025-2026 school year opens on February 3, 2025, and closes on April 30, 2025. For more information, please visit the Wisconsin Department of Instruction webpage.
Free & Reduced Meals Information
Families who might need assistance are encouraged to fill out and submit the Free and Reduced Meal Application and the School Fee Relief Form. The Free & Reduced Meal Application is available online or as a paper copy. Visit the Food & Nutrition Free & Reduced Meals page to learn more.
