About Our District

Located in south-central Wisconsin and adjacent to the capital city of Madison, the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District (MCPASD) serves approximately 7,100 students through a comprehensive 4K–12 educational experience. Our district includes seven elementary schools, two middle schools, two high schools, a community-based 4K program, and a specialized program for students aged 18–21 with IEPs.

We are proud to be recognized as a Top Workplace in Wisconsin, with 60 percent of our staff holding advanced degrees. MCPASD is consistently ranked among the top school districts in the state, and we are home to standout schools.

We offer a strong academic foundation with exceptional programming in music, athletics, and career and technical education. Middleton High School is nationally ranked by U.S. News & World Report, and our trades programs have been featured by CBS News and The Wall Street Journal for preparing students with in-demand, real-world skills.
