MCPASD Students Share Their Voices on Leadership and Belonging at MSAN Conference

Congratulations to Middleton High School students Oubeda Ezoula, Sennie Kidau, and Mauricio Rodriguez for presenting at the 2025 MSAN Institute as part of the High School Scholars’ Panel: Perspectives on Leading and Fostering Belonging.

Facilitated by MHS Dean of Students Antonio Hoye, the student-led session highlighted how schools can create authentic spaces for student voice through support from staff, SAFE (Student, Family, and Staff Engagement) specialists, and strong school relationships.

MCPASD Students Share Their Voices on Leadership and Belonging at MSAN Conference

The students spoke about how these connections have shaped their growth and confidence. They emphasized the importance of community, peer inspiration, and the power of feeling truly heard in their school experience.

They also shared that they feel well-prepared for life after high school—including the transition to college—thanks to the support and encouragement they've received throughout their journey.

Their stories serve as a reminder that when students are empowered to lead and express themselves, schools become places where everyone feels a sense of connection and belonging.
