Welcome Asher Torbeck, Our New MCPASD Safety and Security Coordinator

We are pleased to welcome Asher Torbeck as our new safety and security coordinator starting in July. Asher brings with him a wealth of experience that will be invaluable in ensuring the safety of our students, staff, families and facilities.

After the events of 9/11, Asher felt a call to service and enlisted in the U.S. Army as an infantryman. Over his 7-year enlistment, he completed two deployments to Iraq. Following his military service, Asher transitioned into law enforcement, accumulating 15 years of experience in the field.

For the past 10 years, Asher has been instrumental in training schools, churches, and businesses on how to respond to active threat situations. He served as a School Resource Officer for 4 years and a Sergeant for 6 years, developing expertise in various law enforcement topics through over 12 years as an instructor.

"I have always had a strong drive to protect others," Asher states. "This led me into the military and law enforcement, but I really found my passion as a School Resource Officer. I am very excited to get back into the schools to use my training and experience toward keeping students and staff safe."

When not working to make our community more secure, Asher cherishes time with his family. He and his wife have two children whom they support in numerous sports and activities, including hockey, football, lacrosse, dance, gymnastics, and soccer.

Please join us in welcoming Asher Torbeck to our team. His commitment to safety and protecting others will be a tremendous asset as we continue our efforts to provide a secure environment for learning and growth.
