In addition to the seven elementary schools, two middle schools, one high school and an alternative high school, facilities include the District Administrative Center, the District Operations Center, the Transportation Center, the Performing Arts Center and the Bob Joers Aquatic Center.

The District Services Center (DSC) was formerly Elm Lawn Elementary School. The Superintendent’s Office is located at the DSC along with Community Relations, Student Services, Technology and other District administrative services. The Board of Education conducts its meetings in the DSC.

The Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District operates its own transportation program. The District transports those students living more than 1.1 miles from school, or if a hazardous situation exists. Please contact transportation at 608-829-2365 for more information.

The District Operation Center hosts Facility Services, the Food & Nutritional Services Program, and Health Services.

Facility Services takes pride in its maintenance program, ensuring that all of our facilities are clean, safe and up-to-date. The District follows a maintenance plan to ensure all buildings receive necessary upkeep on an annual basis.

The Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District's food service program operates on a computerized lunch system called Lunch Express. Students are each assigned a bar code, and purchase their lunches without the use of lunch tickets or cash. Families deposit money in a family account.

Area residents make good use of the swimming pool, which is located at 2230 Bristol Street, on the northeast side of Middleton High School. The L-shaped pool features a state-of-the art chlorine purifying system, and includes a diving well. Residents and non-residents alike are welcome to use the pool. A lap lane is almost always available. Pool activities include Red Cross-sponsored swimming lessons, water aerobic classes, open swim, Water Safety courses, and the Master's Swim.
