The District is providing families of PK-12th grade students another opportunity to confirm or switch instructional models.
Please take a few minutes to complete this Qualtrics form. You will need your child’s student identification number to access the form. The student ID number was included in an email families received on Dec. 22. It is also available in Campus Parent Portal.
We are requesting that families complete an instructional model form for each child in their household. The form will close at 11 p.m. on Monday, Dec 28.
A separate transportation form will be sent to all families whose children are currently in the Universal model or switch to that model on Dec. 29.
On Monday, Dec. 21, the School Board approved having all PK-4th-grade students who are in the Universal instructional model return to school buildings.
The School Board also indicated the District should proceed with its plan to bring back middle and high school students, but will vote on the target dates for secondary students to return after they have had walk-throughs of Glacier Creek, Kromrey, MHS and CSCS and reviewed mitigation strategies for that level. The School Board plans to review and vote at its meeting on Feb. 8.
For students in kindergarten through fourth grade, the School Board vote means one cohort of Universal students will attend in-person school on Monday-Tuesday and the other cohort of Universal students will attend in-person school on Thursday-Friday.
Students in the 4K Universal model will be split into two cohorts, morning and afternoon. Students will attend in-person school on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
The District has developed an easy-to-follow document that includes a chart comparing the Universal and Fully Virtual instructional models along with providing more information on each and details about what students’ school days will look like in the coming months.
Superintendent Monogue’s presentation to the School Board on Dec. 21 is also available to review on the District website’s Meetings Presentation page.
The District is going with a phased approach to having Universal model students return to school buildings:
Level | Date of Implementation |
Elementary: PK-4th | Feb. 1, 2021 (kindergarten orientation: Jan. 28-29) |
Level | Targeted Date of Return |
Middle: 5-8 | Feb. 22, 2021 (5th grade orientation: Feb. 18-19) |
High: 9-12 | March 11, 2021 (9th grade orientation: March 4-5) |
All District families received an email with a link to a new instructional model form. Key details to note:
- A form should be completed for every student, even if families are reaffirming their child's current model.
- There is one form for all levels.
- The form will close at 11 p.m. on Dec. 28.
- The form will include the child's name, grade, school and what instructional model the child is currently signed up to be in.
