The Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District is looking for feedback on the start of the 2020-21 school year.

All District families were emailed a new link to a survey through Qualtrics on Tuesday. There is a pulldown at the top that will allow families to take the survey in English or Spanish. The survey will close at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 2. Families are asked to complete a survey for each student in their household. The survey is quite a bit longer than the one offered in the spring, but it should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.

If you are told your session has expired when you try to complete the survey for more than one child, please refresh, back out or open a new session in a different browser and that should resolve the issue, Director of Communications Perry Hibner said.

The family survey was re-issued after the District learned some of our families had shared the link with families who do not have children in our schools or others who do not live in our District, Hibner said.

Families who had already completed the survey will need to fill it out again,  Hibner said. Families will need to enter their child’s five-digit student identification number to access the survey. The student identification number can only be used for one survey.

Families can access their child’s student ID number in Infinite Campus. Families who run into issues with the student ID should contact the administrative assistant at the school their child attends.

Middle and high school students were also sent a link to the school email accounts to an anonymous survey through Qualtrics on Monday night. There is a pulldown at the top that will allow students to take the survey in English or Spanish. The survey will close at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 2. The survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.

Paper copies of the survey will be available in English and Spanish on the buses delivering meals to students. Anyone who completes a paper copy may return it to a bus driver when they pick up meals or they can be mailed to Perry Hibner, District Services Center, 7106 South Ave., Middleton, WI 53562.

Information collected from the survey families participate in will be shared with principals at each of the District's 11 schools. The principals will share key information with staff to help inform and improve virtual learning. Information collected from the survey middle and high school students participate in will be shared with principals at Glacier Creek, Kromrey, CSCS and MHS. The principals will also share key information with staff to help inform and improve virtual learning.

District staff also received an electronic survey.

All survey results will also be shared with the School Board at their meeting on Nov. 16.
