We are proud to introduce David Montag as our new Food & Nutrition Supervisor. With a stellar 20+ year career in the Army, David brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our organization's food service department.
Having served in logistics and food service at various posts around the world, David's career highlights include a five-year assignment at the Pentagon and the unique distinction of being the youngest chef ever to work at the White House, a remarkable accomplishment he achieved at the age of 20.
During his journey, David has also had the privilege of being a personal chef to five Commanding Generals, serving them in three different locations within the United States and two separate overseas locations. His dedication and commitment to his craft are evident in his impressive track record of planning, preparing, and executing over 500 official functions, where he has garnered accolades from esteemed guests ranging from Presidents and Royalty to Pro Athletes, Actors, and high-level elected officials.
Certified as an Executive Chef, David's culinary prowess is matched only by his entrepreneurial spirit. In addition to his military service, David and his wife Candace owned and operated Montag's Pub and Grill in Cross Plains for nearly three years, providing him with valuable experience in managing his own establishment.
However, David's passion extends beyond the confines of the kitchen. In his spare time, he dedicates himself to coaching youth sports, with his most recent assignment being coaching 6th-grade football and basketball teams.
As our new Food & Nutrition Supervisor, David Montag is excited to continue serving the community in which he lives by sharing his extensive knowledge of food service. With his vast experience, he is well-equipped to ensure that our organization not only meets but exceeds expectations when it comes to delivering nutritious meals to our patrons. We are confident that David's expertise, passion, and dedication will elevate our District to new heights and provide an exceptional dining experience for all.
