On Friday, October 4th we celebrated the start of Mr. Peanuts' 60th year as the custodian at Park Elementary. We surprised him with a parade around the school in a Mustang provided by the Theis family and an escort from the Cross Plains Police Department and the Cross Plains Fire Dept.
We then went into the gym for an assembly with speeches from current and former staff members. There was cheering, chanting and a few tears. We also enjoyed a slideshow of Peanuts' career here at Park put together by Mr. Phillips, our school counselor, and a song led by Mr. R. and Ms. Locken.
We are forever grateful for Mr. Peanuts' dedication to our school community and look forward to celebrating his 60th year here at Park Elementary all school year long.
