Park Elementary Spotlight: Ms. Urbonya

Introducing Lisa Urbonya, affectionately referred to as Ms. Urbonya by her students, who is a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist now in her second year at MCPASD. Previously, she honed her skills at Pope Elementary before making the transition to Park.

With her expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist, Ms. Urbonya has continuously provided motivation and encouragement to her students. Her first year at Park was marked by meaningful contributions, showcasing her consistent dedication in assisting students to reach their potential.

Ms. Urbonya is known for her colorful food preferences, from watermelon and peaches to apples and her fondness for dark chocolate. These selections reflect her bright and engaging personality.

Beyond her work and taste in treats, Lisa engages in a variety of hobbies. Whether she's dancing, swimming, or hiking, she uses these activities to keep in touch with the world around her. Lisa is also actively involved in the Baha'i community.

One of the most distinctive elements of her background is the 15 years she spent living in China. Fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Lisa brings valuable cultural perspectives and experiences to her role at MCPASD, enriching her teaching approach and her interactions with the school community.

Lisa Urbonya is more than a staff member at Park; she's a well-rounded individual whose wide range of interests, cultural understanding, and professional fervor highlight her place not simply as a Speech-Language Pathologist but as an important part of the school's diverse community.
