The Climate Champions program celebrates local businesses, organizations, and groups for their leadership and their work in significantly reducing carbon emissions.
The Climate Champions program awards recognitions across the following ten categories:

Our District achieved 2024 Climate Champion status for ten schools under the following categories:
Earned
two stars and uses about half as much energy as a typical elementary school.
Early Learning Center
Elm Lawn Elementary School
Pope Farm Elementary School
Sauk Trail Elementary School
Sunset Ridge Elementary School
West Middleton Elementary School
Earned one star (Building Energy Use) and uses 25% less energy than a typical elementary school.
Northside Elementary School
Earned two stars (Building Energy Use) and uses about half as much energy as a typical middle school.
Glacier Creek Middle School
Kromrey Middle School
Earned one star (Building Energy Use) and uses about 25% less energy than a typical high school.
MCPASD High School Campus
The Dane County Climate Action Plan aims to cut countywide emissions in half by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. Our District is proud to help support their goal of a cleaner and greener future.
