The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) National Leadership Conference was held from June 29–July 2 in Chicago. Middleton High School had ten students compete at the National Leadership Conference. Students from across the United States and abroad attended this exciting conference to enhance their business skills, expand their networks, and participate in more than 70 business and business-related competitive events.

Dhruv Prakash, Jonathan Kim, and Dheeraj Pasikanti received national recognition at the FBLA Awards of Excellence Program on July 2. Prakash, Kim, and Pasikanti competed in Business Management and brought home fourth place. The Business Management event consisted of a collaborative objective test and an interactive role-play.

Harsha Chilakapati and Jacob Mandelbrot were also recognized as Top 15 finalists for their event of Computer Game Simulation & Programing. This event consisted of designing a functional interactive simulation/game that will both entertain and educate/inform the audience.

The awards were part of a comprehensive national competitive events program that recognizes and rewards excellence in a broad range of business and career-related areas. For many students, competitive events are the capstone activity of their academic careers. In addition to competitions, students immersed themselves in interactive workshops, visited an information-packed exhibit hall, and heard from motivational speakers on a broad range of business topics.
