The Bob Joers Aquatic Center will be undergoing renovations this summer to improve safety and sustainability. The facility will be temporarily closed from May 23rd and is expected to reopen between August 8th and 15th, depending on project progress.

Planned Updates

The renovations will focus on key facility improvements:

  • Pool Floor Resurfacing: The underwater floor will be refinished to enhance durability and safety.

  • Pool Deck Upgrade: The current tile surface will be replaced with an Epoxy-style floor for better grip and appearance.

  • New Starting Blocks: New starting blocks will be installed, funded by a generous donation.

  • Pump Room Improvements: A high-efficiency pump will be installed to save energy, and CO2 will be used in the chemical process for better efficiency.

  • Facility Refresh: The pool and deck will be repainted, and bleacher safety will be improved with additional stair sections and railings.

All active memberships will be extended to cover the closure period. For example, if a membership has one month remaining at closure, it will be extended by one month upon reopening.
