Sign up is available for the Weekend Food Program

The Weekend Food Program is FREE program for our students who could use extra food for the weekends. Food items include healthy snacks and some small, easy to prepare meals. This program is a joint partnership with MCPASD school social workers, Second Harvest Foodbank of Wisconsin and local community groups.

Participation in the Weekend Food Program is voluntary and your information will be kept confidential with the school social worker and a limited number of other partners directly helping with distribution.  At this time we are not able to accommodate specific food requests and/or food allergies.

For elementary students, Weekend food bags will be sent home in your child's backpack starting on Feb. 1. For middle school students, Weekend Food bags will be sent home with your student(s) starting on March 8, provided students at that level return starting Feb. 22. Weekend bag distribution will occur on a weekly basis through the remainder of the 2020-21 school year. If you are interested in having your student(s) participate in this program, please fill out the form. Each school will determine the deadline for returning the form. Please note, you can enroll your child in the program at any time.

If you have any questions about the Weekend Food Program, please contact your child's building social worker or student services member.

** For students who opted out of Universal instructional model, we will have two community locations with an inventory of bags available to students. Kromrey will continue to distribute bags on Mondays and Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. The Elver Park Neighborhood Center will continue the Curbside Food Pantry on Thursdays from 4 to 6 p.m. If you aren't able to access those locations, please contact your child's building social worker or student services member.

** For families of middle and high school students, Weekend Food Program sign up information will be coming from your child's school building in the next few weeks.
