Announcement of Superintendent Vacancy

 

The Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District Board of Education announces the commencement of a search for a new superintendent of schools to assume responsibilities on July 1, 2019.  This high performing school district serves nearly 7,300 students in grades K - 12 housed in six elementary schools, two middle schools, a high school, and a charter high school.  The Board is seeking a visionary leader dedicated to social justice, who promotes and empowers every child and is committed to educating students in an environment that actively promotes collaboration and inclusion.  The Middleton-Cross Plains Area Schools offer a challenging and innovative curriculum to prepare its students to be contributing members of our global society. The schools are supported by a dedicated Board of Education and a committed faculty and community.  This is an excellent professional opportunity for a qualified and experienced educational leader to lead a school district serving a community located near Madison, Wisconsin. · A completed online Applicant Data Form

· A letter of application indicating qualifications and reasons for interest in the position

· A current resume

· A brief description of major professional accomplishments

· College/University transcripts

· Three to five letters of recommendation

· Evidence of eligibility to serve as a Superintendent in Wisconsin

A regionally competitive compensation package will be offered to the successful candidate.

 

Each candidate will be informed of the Board’s appointment of the new Superintendent. The final selection and appointment is the sole responsibility of the Board of Education.
