Sunset Ridge Diaper Drive benefits MOM

Printer-friendly version

Sunset Ridge students and staff raised nearly 5,000 diapers as part of a Diaper Drive to benefit the Middleton Outreach Ministry (MOM).

The school's Lions Pride teams raised money for 4,863 diapers, Nicole Scadden said. The students then assembled bags of 10 diapers and created cards to place in the bags on Monday morning.

Scadden said students collected more about 200 diapers and rasied  $800 to purchase additional diapers. Each card also included a personal message and a picture, she said.

MOM volunteers came out on Monday morning to collect the diapers.

"That is an amazing quantity of diapers.  Our youngest in need thank you greatly,'' said Shirley Nennig, who manages MOM's distribution center.
