The fourth annual Sweetheart Dance will be held on Saturday, Feb. 8 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the MHS Student Center.
The dance is open to girls in kindergarten through fifth grade. The cost is $20 per adult, while daughters get in free. Snacks and beverages will be served and pictures will be taken. Everyone who attends will also be eligible for prizes. There is no pre-registration.
The event is sponsored by the MHS DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) program. Nearly 300 have attended each of the last two years, DECA adviser Bob Hutchison said.
Girls should wear their favorite dress or outfit, Hutchison said.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to American Family Children's Hospital. The money will be used to assist the hospital to meet their mission to provide comprehensive health care for children and families in a healing environment that emphasizes the quality of life, Hutchison said.
