MHS and Sauk Trail students teamed up as part of a very cool project last week.
Five sections of Advanced Placement Psychology students at MHS visited several classes at Sauk Trail to read books. They also talked with the elementary students about MHS and got them thinking about AP classes and psychology.
The MHS students will also receive five service learning hours as part of the project, MHS social studies teacher Jen Zart said.
The program was a joint venture between Ms. Zart's and Ms. Schuerman's classes. They came up with the idea as part of their unit on biological psychology where students have to learn the parts of the brain and what they do. The project also included the students making children's books about the brain.
