Welcome to the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District! I am honored to serve our students, their families, our staff, and the greater community as superintendent and feel extremely fortunate to live and work here.

Our school district has so much to offer our students and their families. The community support for education is tremendous as evidenced by our recent successful referendum, which will result in a new elementary school, updates to other school sites, and a remodeled high school. Many families are moving to our wonderful community necessitating enrollment balancing work and new construction projects -- all signs of a thriving school district!

Our teaching, administrative, and support staff are talented, passionate, and truly care about each individual student and their family. We will do whatever it takes to help our students succeed. We benefit greatly from our engaged and interested School Board who help us in countless ways and make our work better for students, our staff, and the community.

Our students and their families and our incredible staff make our district a beacon in the state of Wisconsin. Our beautiful diversity is our greatest strength and we are so fortunate to serve such a culturally rich community. Our students excel is so many ways -- in academics, athletics, in performance, and in civic pursuits.  We pride ourselves in the many opportunities we provide students to get engaged and connect with their passions.

We strive every day to create a district within which all students succeed at the very highest levels of achievement and view themselves a capable scholars. While we are viewed as a premier school district in our state, we still have good work to do in our efforts to meet the needs of every student.

In the MCPASD we believe in our students, we believe in each other, and we believe in our community. It is truly a wonderful place to be!

Yours in service,

Dr. Dana E. Monogue, Superintendent

MCPASD operates under the Policy Governance Model with the Superintendent acting as the Chief Executive Officer. The Board of Education sets policy and depends upon the Superintendent and administrators to carry out that policy. Parents and guardians should first speak with the building principal regarding student and classroom concerns.
