Northside Elementary School is a special place where the school motto, "Once a Northsider, always a Northsider," is embraced by students and staff alike. The school's mission is to empower curiosity, inspire a passion for learning, and create positive changes in the shared community.

Northside's impressive history dates back to its initial construction in 1976, evident in the building's enduring charm and timeless beauty. Over the years, Northside has undergone numerous renovations, keeping it modern and up-to-date while preserving its historic character.

"At Northside, 'we work together' is more than just a motto; it's a reality." Students and staff collaborate to create a respectful, thoughtful, and caring community of learners. The staff's wealth of knowledge about the science of teaching and educators' craft is tailored to each student's learning style, fostering creativity, innovation, excitement, and motivation. Every day is a great day to be a dolphin!

Principal Sylla Zarov is the glue holding the school community together. Her leadership ensures every Northsider feels included, and students embody values reflected in the Northside Way: being safe, respectful, and responsible in everything they do.

Northside offers numerous fine art opportunities and special events throughout the school year, enhancing learning, fostering community, and encouraging fun! From gingerbread people and houses, trips to the Middleton Public Library, learning how to play recorders, to the 4th-grade vs. staff basketball game, each grade level creates special memories.

This spring, Northside is excited to host an all-school Arts and Music Showcase. The 4th graders will showcase a musical, with the opportunity for all students to participate in orchestra, regardless of their prior musical experience.

School-wide events include Popsicles on the Playground in summer, All School Assemblies, Dolphin Dash and Run. Walk. Move to encourage movement and wellness, monthly SPLASH Group activities for cross-grade bonding, an All School Field Day, and the Hot Dog Picnic to end the year and unite families.

The school's mascot, the dolphin, symbolizes intelligence and friendliness, embodying the school's message of encouraging curiosity and teamwork. Northside has a supportive community and an outstanding Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) working closely with staff and students to create a nurturing learning environment.

Northside Elementary School is where passion and community converge to provide a unique and empowering learning experience for all students.
