National Honor Society
The National Honor Society (NHS) is more than just an honor roll. NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Applications are open to second semester sophomores and juniors; if the Faculty Council accepts a student's application, membership begins the following school year. Members are expected to attend monthly meetings and earn 10+ service hours each semester through NHS specific activities.

Students: to learn more, visit the National Honor Society Website and check out the MHS-NHS Chapter Bylaws. Watch for the complete application to be sent via Infinite Campus to your school email late first semester.
Parents: keep in mind that NHS is a school student organization. We expect to hear from and work with students as they navigate high school (and life). We encourage you to ask your student about NHS, but let them take it from there. Thank you.
