Curriculum and Instructional Philosophy of MCPASD 4K
All sites in the MCPASD 4K program follow the same culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate play-based curriculum. Our curricular resources are aligned with the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards and are implemented in an exploratory and play-based method in order to allow students to build social, academic, and problem-solving skills. Our program allows for dierentiation in order to build upon student identity, interests, and support all students in their learning journey. Our philosophy also values families as partners for learning. The 4K program encourages regular opportunities for family involvement. Families will receive at home activity ideas to support learning along with other opportunities to participate in your child’s learning.
