Welcome to the Kromrey Middle School website!

I am a native of South Louisiana, and using my voice as a spoken word poet speaking up against violence and failing school systems I earned a full ride scholarship to the University of Wisconsin-Madison through the First Wave Urban Arts program for his arts, academics, and activism. At UW-Madison, I explored my passion for social justice through the study of Sociology, creating poetry, rap, and theater pieces informed by theory and research. After graduating from UW I returned to Baton Rouge to teach and to kick off my career  and share a TED Talk at LSU!

My educational career has brought from Louisiana to Verona, then Middleton.  While my career is still young, I am excited for all the possibilities that the future holds in my new role as Principal of Kromrey! Before leaving the classroom I taught 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts and GED and was recognized as Teacher of the Year at my first school and Louisiana American Graduate by Louisiana Public Broadcasting and PBS. Upon returning to Wisconsin I earned my masters in K12 Administration with a focus on Social Justice. I joined Glacier Creek Middle School as the Dean of Students. Over the years I have come to find that my passion within this field is engagement and ensuring that every student feel that they belong and are capable of thriving!

I am invested in Middleton. My family lives here, our son attends Middleton schools and my in laws were the pioneers behind Lupes Taquería. I am confident that under my leadership the best parts of our community will continue to thrive while we continue to build new bridges. Be on the lookout for updates about the wonderful things our students and staff members are up to throughout the year and if you have any questions or if we may be of assistance please contact us.

See you soon!
