MLK Forum for Social Action on Saturday

The second annual MLK Forum for Social Action will take place on Saturday, Jan. 18 at the Performing Arts Center and includes four speakers, led by MCPASD Director of Equity and Student Achievement Percy Brown Jr.

The inaugural MLK Forum for Sociation Action also was held at the PAC. Brown has helped organize each of the events.

This year's other speakers include Judge Everett Mitchell, Madison West staff member Marlon Anderson, and his son, Noah Anderson. Mitchell is scheduled to open and close the program. Marlon Anderson''s remarks will include a reflection on it taking a village to educate children, while Noah Anderson will perform two Spoken Words, including "Young Royalty" and "Freedom."

The program also includes a performance from the Sigma Zeta Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.

Brown spoke about the upcoming MLK Forum for Social Action in December on WISC-Ch. 3's For The Record

The inaugural event was held on Jan. 19, 2019 and drew hundreds of people. The event was covered by the Middleton-Cross Plains Times-Tribune
