Head Start, a comprehensive preschool program that focuses on promoting school readinness through positive social and educational skill development for children ages 3-5 years old of low-income families, offers multiple programming options for District families.

There is no cost to families. Heat Start offers monthly socializations, weekely home visits, health service screenings, family services and support for children with special needs. Programs also include full-day center-based and part-day center-based.
