and ensembles from Pop, Country, and Broadway classics.

♫ GUEST ARTIST: Julie Lyonn Lieberman 
Julie Lyonn Lieberman the Artistic Director for the summer program Strings Without Boundaries: Summer Program for Contemporary Strings. She is an eclectic styles violinist who specializes in improvisation and American vernacular and world styles as well as playing healthy techniques. Ms. Lieberman is the author of eight music books, and coauthor of the ASTA String Curriculum Standards, Goals, Learning Sequences for Essential Skills and Knowledge in K-12. She has six DVDs, two National Public radio series and fifteen alternative styles string orchestra scores published. 
 
Ms. Liebermann will be working and performing with the MHS Orchestra students on stage, engaging in a variety of styles.

STUDENT GUIDE TO SEEING SHOWS AT FAW2014
  • There are 3 ways to see a show at Fine Arts Week: 
  1.  Your classroom teacher signs up to go 
  2. You get a ticket. They are free! 
  3. You are scheduled to perform 
  • PARENTS MAY CALL OUT STUDENTS TO GO TO SHOWS. 
  • STUDENTS WITHOUT TICKETS WILL BE TURNED AWAY FROM THE PAC. 
  • You need a tickets for all shows, including: 
              LUNCH 
              STUDY HALL 
              SENIOR RELEASE 
              RESOURCE & LATE START 
  • All students with tickets sit in the Back Center Section. The ONLY exceptions are the Resource and Late Start performances. 
  • A few tickets for each show will be held back for students not able to come that morning due to illness, a class, or a field trip. 
  • Student tickets will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Tickets are FREE! 
  • All tickets for all shows will be available at once. Get in the line for the correct BLOCK of the show you want to see. You may only get one ticket per show, but there is no limit to how many shows you can go see. Extra ticket will remain “on sale” the week before Fine Arts Week in Room 1341.
  • No more tickets will be available during Fine Arts Week, so be sure to get them the weeks before. 
  • To use the ticket, first get the signature of the teacher for the class you would like to miss on the ticket. Teachers are under no obligation whatsoever to sign any FAW tickets. You do need a resource period signature and study hall supervisor signatures as well. No signature is needed for senior release or lunch, but you do need a ticket. 
  • You must also have all of the information filled out legibly on both portions of the ticket. 
  • At the performance, bring your ticket to the Student Seating Area, where a helpful staff member will tear your ticket and return the stub to you. 
  • NO STUDENT WITHOUT A TICKET WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE STUDENT SEATING AREA. NO EXCEPTIONS! 
  • If asked, you must be able to show your ticket stub to a staff member, so please keep track of it. If you cannot produce your stub upon request, you may be asked to leave the PAC. 
  • Any student acting in an inappropriate manner will be asked to leave the PAC immediately and go directly to the admin office. 
  • Students who repeatedly push limits or disregard FAW guidelines may be banned from further attendance.
