Future Problem Solvers

Printer-friendly version

Future Problem Solvers (FPS) is an international, competitive problem solving program. FPS students develop skills of teamwork, communication, research, critical and creative thinking, analysis, synthesis and evaluation.  Students who participate in FPS learn a 6-step process where they apply these skills to situations that are futuristic, but oriented to real life.  Students can participate in a group or individual capacity.  Students who do well have the opportunity to travel to Green Lake, WI for the State Bowl competition and even the International Competition in June.

The topics for this year are "MISSION TO MOON," "MARS & BEYOND,"  "DRONES," "FOOD LOSS & WASTE," and "COPING WITH STRESS".   Meetings for FPS take place in room 1817 during ASR 2 on Club days.
