The District is excited to announce that Screenagers NEXT Chapter: Uncovering Skills for Stress Resllience will be available to stream for free on Thursday, May 21 at 7 p.m.
This project has been developed in order to address some of the concerns families are having about the mental health of their tweens and teens, particularly in terms of screen use and the Safter at Home orders.
Filmmaker and physician Dr. Delaney Ruston takes the conversation around screens and teens to the next level with Screenagers NEXT Chapter: Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience — a film that examines the science behind teen’s emotional challenges, the interplay of social media, and most importantly, what can be done in our schools and homes to help them build crucial skills to navigate stress, anxiety, and depression in our digital age.
In addition, you may sign up for a free debrief discussion of the film that will take place on Tuesday, May 26 at 6:30 p.m. with SPARK! Middleton coordinator Kristin Voss.
The movie and discussion are meant for families who have children in middle or high school. To learn more and RSVP for these events, please visit the Galin Education website.
MCPASD in past years has offered free live screenings of Screenagers with a positive response from families.
Spark! Middleton, Galin Education, Tri 4 Schools, and EAGLE School are the sponsors of these offerings.
