Kromrey seventh-grader Ricardo Sanchez Cortes was recently named a winner of the CodaBow 25 Bows for 25 Kids Sponsorship.

The international sponsorship is designed to award violin, viola, cello, and bass bows to exceptional music students.

CodaBow is an international bow-making company based in Minnesota. Each winner receives a CodaBow Diamond NX bow custom engraved with their name. Students are selected based on their past achievements and potential in future endeavors, as well as their dedication and commitment to music.

Sanchez Cortes currently studies violin with Nathan Giglierano and participates in KMS orchestra under Kristen Flak’s directorship. He was nominated for the award by Nathan and Gillian Giglierano.

“I’m so happy he won,” Nathan Giglierano said “I can’t think of anyone more deserving than Ricardo.”
