About Glacier Creek Middle School
Glacier Creek Middle School is located in south-central Wisconsin, in the village of Cross Plains. Cross Plains, a village of just over 3,000 people, is situated midway between Middleton and Black Earth along highway 14 in western Dane County. Glacier Creek Middle School, housing approximately 640 students in grades 6th through 8th, was first opened for students in the fall of 1996. It gets its name from the beautiful landscape carved out by glaciers over 10,000 years ago. Glacier Creek Middle School draws students from Sunset Ridge Elementary School, West Middleton Elementary School and Park Elementary School. Our school day runs from 8:10 a.m. until 3:20 p.m. and includes 8 class periods. The student day is divided into core and encore sections. The core section includes science, math, social studies, language arts and student enrichment time. Encore classes include generous offerings in health, music, foreign language, art, industrial technology, family and consumer education, physical education and computer technology.
