Students in Elm Lawn's after-school music club will learn what it is like to perform on Broadway in May.

More than 60 students in third- and fourth-grade will participate in the production of "Annie Kids." The 64 students have been divided into four different casts and will perform May 4-7, music teacher John Becker said.

"They are very excited to share their performances,'' he said. "As we learn from Annie, Daddy Warbucks and all of the orphans and cast, 'The sun will come out tomorrow,'' and our Elm Lawn children also keep doing their best every day at school and in life.''

Elm Lawn's music club is directed by Becker. Music Theatre International's "Annie Kids" features music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin and is based on a book by Thomas Meehan.
