Camp Invention still has spots available

Camp Invention has already surpassed its enrollment for last summer but is still taking applications, camp director Kristin Pavelec said this week.

"We are busy hiring more staff as more and more kids are realizing the great opportunity made available this summer,'' she said. "I am so excited to bring this opportunity back again and see where kids’ imaginations take them.''

Camp Invention is an inventor’s camp geared toward students entering first through sixth grades. There are also positions available for counselors-in-training for seventh-, eighth-, and ninth-graders, Pavelec said.

The week-long camp runs daily from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost is $230, although a $15 discount is available through May 12 using the promo code SPRING.

Campers work in groups to create a freestyle racing cart, take apart electronics to assemble a three-dimensional game, create their own original prototype, and more, Pavelec said.
