Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District residents ages 5-21 are able to enroll as full-time students in the 21st Century eSchool at any time, although we highly recommend any transfer of enrollment happen at a natural break in the year such as the beginning of the year or end of semester.

We recognize that families choose to enroll in the 21st Century eSchool for a wide variety of reasons and seek to support all families in finding a learning environment that best suits their student's needs. If you are looking to transfer your student out of a MCPASD brick and mortar school because you feel it is not meeting their learning needs, we highly recommend that you let the school know about your plans and any willingness to continue seeking alternative options within the building.
Beginning of Year Enrollment
If you wish to enroll your student in the 21st Century eSchool for the beginning of a new school year, please contact Kim Gauen, the eSchool Counselor, at 608-829-9648 or email@example.com to set up a meeting. If your student previously attended an MCPASD brick and mortar school and there is a staff member at that school who you feel knows your student/family well, we highly encourage you to provide that information so they can be invited to attend the meeting as well.
Registration for the 21st Century eSchool does not occur until August and online classes do not typically fill up. If you are considering enrolling but have not yet made a final decision, we offer the beginning of August as a suggested deadline to ensure you receive all beginning of the year communication.
If you wish to enroll your student in the 21st Century eSchool at any point during the school year, please first complete this Mid-Year Transfer Form and turn it into either your student's home school or the District Services Center so we can get some more information about your decision to transfer and determine if there are any options to continue serving your student through their home school.

While we can accommodate enrollments throughout the year, we highly recommend that transfers happen at natural breaks in the school year such as the end of a semester as we are not able to transfer grades or work "in progress." Students begin their online courses at the beginning of the course regardless of the date of transfer.
MCPASD Families Living Out of District
If your family currently lives outside of the MCPASD boundaries and your student is attending under a Current Year Waiver, Additional Year Waiver or previous Open Enrollment admittance, enrollment in the 21st Century eSchool is not guaranteed. You must complete and submit the Alternate School Request form for review by both school principals. If your student's transfer to the 21st Century eSchool is approved, please be aware that they may not be eligible to return to an MCPASD brick and mortar in the future. Please contact the district Registrar's Office at 608-829-9031 for additional information before making a final decision.
