Chicana’s Spirit Beyond Mexican Soul

Instructors: Rafael Gomez

This course lifts educators’ perception and insight of a common reflection that continuously transforms the Mexican’s soul into the chicana spirit. An image of a woman makes up a family. This family language, history, struggle, religion, art, music, dance, and way of life such to watch television or listen to the radio becomes part of our American culture. Participants’ reflection throughout the course would awake insight and explore perspectives of the embracing thought among Mexicans and Chicanos. It is an experimental course that would add flavor to the tortilla and frijoles that come with the fajitas.
