Qualifications:
Required:
*Must be sixteen years of age or older.
*Current Red Cross Lifeguard Training certification or equivalent.
*Current Red Cross First Aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification or equivalent.
*Ability to develop positive constructive relations with students, staff, and public.
Preferred:
*Current Red Cross First Aid, Pro CPR, and Community Water Safety Certification

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
*Supervises patrons during all pool activities, maintains order and enforces pool rules, regulations, and controls the diving area.
*Administers needed emergency first aid and maintains life support until qualified medical personnel arrive as needed.
*Assists in cleaning and set up duties as assigned by supervisor.
*Cashier/front-desk duties.
*Light pool maintenance as assigned by supervisor.
*Provides all required reports to pool supervisor.

ASSOCIATED FUNCTIONS:
*Assists with instruction of swimming classes as needed.
*Communicates with other lifeguards, supervisor, and attendants the need for additional assistance or equipment.
*Serves as a Water Safety Instructor Aide and/or Pool Attendant when needed.
*Performs other related duties as assigned by the Pool Supervisor or Head Lifeguard.

Starting Salary Range: $8.00 to $15.00 per hour based on experience
